Bethania Moravian Church
Those who cooked, worked with crafts, put on the dramas, and assisted in various ways were a tremendous help. We especially want to thank Noel for all the hours she put in getting the dramas, actors, costumes, props, and all the other things needed for VBS. The overall average attendance for the week was 85, 34 children and youth and 51 adults!
The fifteen actors really "got into their roles" and did an exceptional job! Children of all ages seemed to understand the important messages of God’s love for everyone and how it affects lives. During the opening dramas, there were a few surprises as they learned about life in early Rome! We also thank the congregation for your support in donating the following items for the health kits: 3 boxes of gallon bags, 11 boxes of band aids, 26 toothbrushes, 15 nail clippers, 4 combs, 99 washcloths, 18 hand towels and 87 bars of soap. The adult class put together the health kits on Sunday and Monday nights. Are you ready for another Church Movie Night? The CEC is sponsoring another movie night on Sunday, July 18, 2010. This time, we ask you to bring snack type food to enjoy together as we eat at 6:00 pm, then the movie will begin around 6:30 pm. Look for the signs in a few weeks that will advertise which movie we will be showing. Our Cruise-in Committee has been hard at work getting everything ready for each of the cruise-ins. The next one will be Friday, July 16th with tomato sandwiches and corn-on-the-cob. On August 20th, the menu features a tenderloin sandwich, baked beans, and slaw. As usual, drinks and dessert come with each meal. We invite you to put these dates on your calendar and come along with family and friends to share in these special evenings. It is a special time to enjoy fellowship with those you love as you have a chance to reminisce about “the time when…”Church Movie Night
